The Hastelloy X superalloy is a widely used solid-solution Ni-based sheet alloy for gas turbines, aero-engine combustion chambers, and other hot-end components. To investigate the effect of microstructure, especially grain size, on its weldability, bars are homogenized, cold-rolled to thin sheets, recrystallized under different conditions obtain equiaxed microstructures with average sizes ~5 ?m, ~12 ~90 ?m. laser welding process joining then alloy’s weldability investigated through microstructural mechanical property characterizations. in weld consist coarse columnar grains dendrite, these almost same when size base metal increases from ?m Moreover, although all welds exhibit lower yield strengths (YS), ultimate tensile (UTS), elongations fracture (EF) than metal, degrees reduction them become slight
